We all must work to Restore Balance and grow jobs. West Virginia’s potential for added job growth is being hindered by certain "out of step" laws and anti-job policies. Several major positive steps were taken in the past few years to correct this situation.  But, more still needs to be done to bring West Virginia "in step" for new jobs and investment.

The major problems confronting West Virginia employers include a negative lawsuit environment, burdensome Workers’ Compensation costs, high health insurance rates, inordinately cumbersome environmental procedures and a high business tax system.

This situation continues to cost our state in terms of jobs, lower wages, missed opportunities and constrained business investment.

Compounding this situation even more so is the fact that West Virginia is forecast to trail the nation in the coming decade in terms of economic growth (click to read).

Change is needed...in our laws, in our policies and in our state's viewpoints about the men and women who own and operate business and who provide employment for the private-sector workers in West Virginia.

Help us Restore Balance to West Virginia.  We must bring our state into the national mainstream so we can have a fighting chance to retain our existing jobs, compete for good-paying employment opportunities and entice new business investment.
